There are multiple agencies involved when there is alteration, renovation and/or construction of a (new) educational facility.

• School Development Authority (SDA)
  For school construction in Abbott Districts, please visit New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA).
• Department of Community Affairs: Division of Codes and Standards
  For projects involving the creation of a new public school by a local Board of Education and plan review and inspection for all projects undertaken by the SDA, please visit Department of Community Affairs – Division of Codes and Standards.
  • For all other school projects, Uniform Construction Code enforcement is handled at the local level.
