The dual goals of the Division of Air Quality and Radiation Protection are to ensure healthy air, for both public health and the environment and to protect the public and radiation workers from unnecessary exposure to radiation.
DAQRP manages these two goals through regulation, planning, inspection, and permitting of sources of air pollution and radiation exposures.
