For temporary ground and surface water control (dewatering) diversions in excess of 100,000* gallons of water per day, the project owner must obtain a\u00a0Dewatering Allocation Permit<\/strong>, Dewatering Permit-by-Rule<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Short Term Permit-by-Rule<\/strong>, depending on the duration of the diversion and the method employed. Construction Related Dewatering Guidance <\/i><\/a> will help determine which type of dewatering permit you will need for your project.<\/p>\n

*\u00a0At the 100,000 gallons per day threshold additional approvals for water diversion may be required by the\u00a0<\/em>Delaware River Basin Commission<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<\/em>New Jersey Pinelands Commission<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n
