RecycleNet tracks prices for over 1,000 grades of scrap and recyclable commodities from the Recycler’s Exchange<\/a> <\/i>\u00a0spot market. Each day at 10:00am EST a snapshot is taken of the on-line spot market prices, this information is archived as historical pricing data.<\/h4>\n

“Class A recyclable material”<\/strong>\u00a0means a source separated non-putrescible recyclable material specifically excluded from Department approval prior to receipt, storage, processing or transfer at a recycling center in accordance with N.J.S.A. 13:1E-99.34b, which material currently includes source separated non-putrescible metal, glass, paper, plastic containers, and corrugated and other cardboard.<\/p>\n

Intermediate Processing Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

While\u00a0“Intermediate Processing Facility (IPF)”<\/strong> is not a regulatory term, it typically refers to a Class A recycling center that receives, at a minimum, source separated commingled recyclable containers and processes the recyclable materials through mechanical and manual means into their constituent components.<\/p>\n

The below list includes processors of both dual stream and single stream recyclables. Intermediate Processing Facilities are not permitted by the NJDEP; however, they must be included in the County Solid Waste Management Plan for the county in which they intend to operate.\u00a0 This list was last updated July 2023.<\/p>\n

      \nii. Used coolant oil (non-contact heat transfer fluids);
      \niii. Used emulsion oil; and
      \niv. Any other synthetic oil or oil refined from crude oil, which has been used, and as a result of such use is contaminated by physical or chemical impurities;<\/p>\n

      2. Batteries as defined in this section;
      \n3. Pesticides as defined in this section;
      \n4. Thermostats as defined in this section;
      \n5. Latex paint;
      \n6. Oil base paints from household or small quantity generators; and
