Calling All Local Government On-Road Diesel Vehicle Electrification Projects!”]<\/p>\n

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) is excited to announce an additional $9.1 million for electrifying local government medium- and heavy-duty diesel vehicles, building on last year’s $35 million initiative. This brings the total to $44.1 million, reinforcing New Jersey’s dedication to reducing diesel emissions and combating climate change. Funded by the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI<\/a>), this funding increase allows even more communities to transition to electric vehicles, promoting healthier air and lower greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n

This program utilizes Federal and State funding to replace on-road and non-road diesel equipment\/vehicles and repower marine engines \u2013 anything from refuse trucks to forklifts to ferry vessels.<\/p>\n
