At Areas of Concern (AOCs) where the highest concentration of soil contamination is present at the water table and no impact to ground water is observed, no remediation for the impact to ground water pathway is required.\u00a0 Pertinent site conditions include the age of the discharge and the location of the highest soil contamination. Approval from the Department of these compliance options would result in an unconditional no further action for soils for the impact to ground water pathway.<\/p>\n<p>In this instance, soil identified as exceeding the site specific Impact to Ground Water Soil Remediation Criteria (IGWSRC) may not require remediation and compliance with the impact to ground water pathway will be approved provided the following conditions are <strong><u>all<\/u><\/strong> met:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Soil contamination has been fully delineated to the site specific Impact to Ground Water Soil Remediation Criteria pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:26E-4.1;<\/li>\n<li>The highest level of soil contamination is identified at the water table; and<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of two source area ground water sampling events, biased to the highest soil sample location for each area of concern, are collected no sooner than thirty days apart and demonstrate no ground water impact (levels in ground water are below the applicable Ground Water Quality Standard).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Submission Requirements:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A scaled map indicating the locations of all soil and ground water samples.<\/li>\n<li>A table indicating the sample number, date collected, sample depth interval, depth to water\/water elevation for each ground water sample and the sample results.<\/li>\n<li>Boring logs.<\/li>\n<li>The method used to obtain the ground water samples shall be provided.
