The CSRR Community Corner is designed specifically to keep New Jersey residents informed on CSRR activities present within and proximal to their communities through data provided via a web mapping application. This web mapping application, Site Remediation Profile in NJ GeoWeb, allows the user to view and interact with various SRP specific GIS layers, including the Immediate Environmental Concern (IEC) and SRP Preferred ID GIS layers. Please click on the links provided below for detailed information about these layers including what they represent and how to interact with them in the Site Remediation Profile in NJ GeoWeb. Short instructional videos are also available for both the IEC and SRP Preferred ID GIS layers through the links below.

GIS Layers

HAZSITE Ground Water Sampling Data – HAZSITE ground water sampling data is available in a GIS format for 23 contaminants, including common gasoline constituents, chlorinated solvents, and contaminants of emerging concern.

HAZSITE Ground Water Sampling Data Instructions [pdf]

Immediate Environmental Concern (IEC) GIS Layer – An IEC GIS layer has been created to identify all IEC locations with response actions performed or overseen by the Division of Remediation Management and Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment (CSRR).

(IEC) GIS Layer Instructions [pdf]

NJDEP PFAS Soil Survey for New Jersey Layer – The NJDEP GIS Layer associated with the Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances in New Jersey Soils: A Statewide Investigation (2025). New

NJDEP PFAS Soil Survey for New Jersey Layer Instructions [pdf]

NJDEP PFAS Soil Survey GIS Data Layer Instructional Video

SRP Preferred ID GIS Layer – An SRP Preferred ID GIS Layer has been created to identify all New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment (CSRR) Remedial Cases.

SRP Preferred ID GIS Layer Instructions [pdf]

GIS Applications

Contaminated Sites Explorer – The Contaminated Sites Explorer is a web mapping application that was designed for the general public to provide detailed information about contaminated sites.
