{"id":1591,"date":"2021-12-02T13:54:27","date_gmt":"2021-12-02T18:54:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/rules\/?page_id=1591"},"modified":"2021-12-02T13:54:27","modified_gmt":"2021-12-02T18:54:27","slug":"091806a","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/rules\/notice-of-rule-proposal-archive\/091806a\/","title":{"rendered":"091806a"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>NJ DEPARTMENT of ENVIRONMENTALPROTECTION<br \/>\n<\/b>Environmental Regulation<br \/>\nAir Quality Management<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notice of Rule Proposal<\/strong><br \/>\nN.J.A.C. 7:27-14.1, 14.3, N.J.A.C. 7:27A-3.10(m)14<\/p>\n<p><b>Public Notice<\/b><br \/>\nTake notice that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection<br \/>\nis proposing an amendment to N.J.A.C. 7:27-14, Control and Prohibition of Air<br \/>\nPollution from Diesel-Powered Motor Vehicles, and N.J.A.C. 7:27A, Air Administrative<br \/>\nProcedures and Penalties.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed amendments will reduce the number and types<br \/>\nof allowable exemptions to the three-minute diesel idling standard,<br \/>\nwhich will reduce the amount of diesel exhaust released into<br \/>\nthe ambient air; describe the conditions during which extended<br \/>\nidling is allowed; alter the structure of penalties for school<br \/>\nbus owners, operators and schools utilizing school buses found<br \/>\nto be in violation of the idling provisions; and changing the<br \/>\npenalty amounts for all others found to be in violation of<br \/>\nthese regulations.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal is scheduled to be published in the New Jersey<br \/>\nRegister dated September 18, 2006.
