\nEndangered, Nongame and Exotic Species: N.J.A.C. 7:25-4.3 and 4.4<\/p>\n
\nTake notice that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection is proposing amendments to the rules governing the possession of nongame and exotic species at N.J.A.C. 7:25-4.3 to add bison (commonly known as the American buffalo) to the list of mammals exempted from the requirement to obtain an annual possession permit from the Department.\u00a0 Bison will continue to be regulated by the Department of Agriculture pursuant to the definition of \u201ccattle\u201d in that department\u2019s rules.<\/p>\n
