{"id":1312,"date":"2021-10-12T14:35:43","date_gmt":"2021-10-12T18:35:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/rules\/?page_id=1312"},"modified":"2023-03-20T10:31:41","modified_gmt":"2023-03-20T14:31:41","slug":"20170320b","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/rules\/notice-of-rule-proposal-archive\/20170320b\/","title":{"rendered":"20170320b"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>NJ DEPARTMENT of ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION<\/b><br \/>\nAIR QUALITY, ENERGY, AND SUSTAINABILITY<br \/>\nDIVISION OF AIR QUALITY<br \/>\nBUREAU OF EVALUATION AND PLANNING<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notice of Rule Proposal and Revision of the State Implementation Plan (SIP)<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Air Pollution Control, N.J.A.C. 7:27<br \/>\nFine Particles (PM2.5) in Air Permitting, Sulfur (Startup\/Shutdown\/Malfunction (SSM) Exemption), and Emission Statements<\/p>\n<p><strong>PUBLIC NOTICE<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Take notice<\/strong> that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (Department) is proposing a SIP revision and rule amendments that pertain to the repeal of an antiquated exemption for emergency releases from pressure-relieving stacks, adding PM2.5 into the air permitting rules, eliminating the option to submit Emission Statements through email, and requiring the reporting of PM2.5 and ammonia at the source level in Emission Statements. \u00a0This rule proposal constitutes a revision to New Jersey\u2019s SIP for Sulfur, Permits and Certificates for Minor Facilities (and Major Facilities without an Operating Permit), Control and Prohibition of Air Pollution from New or Altered Sources Affecting Ambient Air Quality (Emission Offset Rules), Emission Statements, and Operating Permits.
