{"id":1306,"date":"2021-10-12T14:27:26","date_gmt":"2021-10-12T18:27:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/rules\/?page_id=1306"},"modified":"2023-03-20T10:21:30","modified_gmt":"2023-03-20T14:21:30","slug":"20170417a","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/rules\/notice-of-rule-proposal-archive\/20170417a\/","title":{"rendered":"20170417a"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>NJ DEPARTMENT of ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION<\/b><br \/>\nNATURAL AND HISTORIC RESOURCES<br \/>\nDIVISION OF PARKS AND FORESTRY<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notice of Rule Proposal<br \/>\n<\/strong>Game Code N.J.A.C. 7:25-5<\/p>\n<p><strong>PUBLIC NOTICE<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Take notice<\/strong> that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection is proposing new rules, repeals, and amendments in the Forestry Chapter of the New Jersey Administrative Code at N.J.A.C. 7:3 which governs the Department\u2019s forestry programs.\u00a0 A statement of the substance of the proposal follows:<\/p>\n<p>The Department proposes to add new Forest Stewardship Program rules, N.J.A.C. 7:3-5, and new rules governing the Forest Stewardship Advisory Committee, N.J.A.C. 7:3-6; amend the rules governing the List of Approved Foresters, N.J.A.C. 7:3-3; and repeal the rules governing Certified Tree Experts, N.J.A.C. 7:3-4.\u00a0 The Department also proposes to modify the Chapter\u2019s General Provisions at N.J.A.C. 7:3-1 by amending the list of defined terms; revising the rules related to construction of the chapter and to severability; and adding a new section that provides information on how to submit documents and other communications to the New Jersey Forest Service.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal is scheduled to be published in the New Jersey Register dated April 17, 2017.\u00a0 A copy of the proposal is available from the Department\u2019s website at:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/rules\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/70\/proposals\/20170417a.pdf\">https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/rules\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/70\/proposals\/20170417a.pdf<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A public hearing concerning the proposal is scheduled as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 6:00 P.M.<br \/>\nRutgers EcoComplex<br \/>\n1200 Florence-Columbus Rd.<br \/>\nBordentown, NJ<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Written comments may be submitted electronically by June 16, 2017, at <a href=\"https:\/\/nj.gov\/dep\/rules\/comments\/\">https:\/\/nj.gov\/dep\/rules\/comments\/<\/a>; or<br \/>\nIn hard copy to:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Alice A.
