The Nuclear Environmental Engineering operates an independent Environmental Surveillance and Monitoring Program (ESMP) in the environs of the Oyster Creek, Hope Creek,\u00a0<\/span>and Salem Nuclear Generating Station (Units 1 & 2). This program is performed in accordance with the legislative authority of the New Jersey Radiation Accident Response Act (N.J.S.A. 26:2D-43.g.).\u00a0<\/span>The purpose of the ESMP is to monitor various environmental media for radioactivity that may be attributable to the operation of New Jersey\u2019s nuclear power plants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
