New Jersey Pesticide Trainer Certification” tab_id=”part-3-new-jersey-pesticide-trainer-certification”][vc_column_text css=””]To become a Certified Trainer who can teach the basic pesticide training courses, or a category class offered in lieu of 40 hours on-the-job training, fill out the\u00a0New Jersey Pesticide Trainer Application VPA-016<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/i> and email the required materials to\u00a0<\/strong>pestcertcourses@deptest.nj.gov<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Certified Pesticide Trainer Program is intended for instructors who wish to provide the Basic Pesticide Safety Training class, or category training classes in lieu of 40 hours on-the-job training (OJT).\u00a0 If you are an employer who can provide 40 hours OJT, then you should not apply to provide category training.<\/p>\n

The purpose of this program is to maintain standardized course content for classes offered as prerequisites for Pesticide Applicator and Operator licensing. To determine if these standards are met, your course content will be evaluated with our most current criteria.<\/p>\n

To apply to become a Certified Pesticide Trainer, the following materials must be submitted:<\/p>\n
