For more information about Beekeeper Notification see N.J.A.C. 7:30-9.11<\/a> <\/i>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n The NJ Pesticide Control Regulations at NJAC 7:30-9.11 allow beekeepers to voluntarily register their bee yards with the DEP and require pesticide applicators to notify those beekeepers at least 24 hours prior to the application of any pesticide labeled as toxic to bees if any registered bee yard is located within three miles of the application site. Some pesticide applications are specifically exempt from the notification requirement as specified in the following link https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/pesticides\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/212\/regulations\/subchapter-9<\/a>\u00a0 <\/i><\/p>\n Notification to the beekeeper is mandatory for the pesticide applicator, but it is up to each individual beekeeper to register any or all bee yard locations. There is no limit to the number of bee yards that may be registered. The list of Officially Registered Bee Yards is posted annually to this website. Any beekeeper registering yards after March 1 and choosing to be included on the DEP Notification List, will not appear on the current year\u2019s list.<\/p>\n New Jersey laws require that all bee yards in New Jersey where bees are over-wintering be registered annually with the Department of Agriculture.
