Winslow Wildlife Management Area in Winslow, Camden County and Monroe Township, Gloucester County is a robust 8,406 acres of woodland terrain lying south of County Route 720 and north of Winslow-Williamstown Road. It is bisected by both the Egg Harbor River and the Atlantic City Expressway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fishing<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Two ponds are located on the main portion of the WMA offering largemouth bass, bluegills, and chain pickerel. Oak Pond is stocked seasonally with trout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wildlife Viewing<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The grassy fields, swamp areas, sandy roads, and upland forests of this diverse ecosystem are home to gray foxes, coyotes, screech owls, wild turkey, and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hunting<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

There are sixteen fields located on the tract which are rotationally planted providing food for the small game species present, including rabbits, turkey, and squirrels. In-season stocking of pheasants occurs on twelve of the fields, providing additional hunting opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The extensive wooded area of this tract holds a sizable deer herd throughout the year. It is large enough to provide excellent deer hunting opportunities in Deer Management Zone 65.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Limited waterfowl hunting is available during the early portion of the season. Wood duck, black duck, and mallard are the principal species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Range<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

An archery range is available for licensed hunters and their guests. A valid hunting license is required to use NJDEP Fish & Wildlife ranges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Access is not permitted from the Expressway. Follow NJ-73 South to Blue Anchor Road in Winslow Township. The Southern Region Office is located on New Brooklyn\/Blue Anchor Road in Sicklerville. Follow US-1 South and Interstate 295 South to NJ-73 South in Mount Laurel Township. Take exit 36A from I-295 South. After getting on NJ-73 South, turn right on Davis Avenue and right again onto Blue Anchor Road. The WMA will be on the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Owned by New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection<\/a>, Fish & Wildlife<\/a>, the Wildlife Management Area System<\/a> is comprised of more than 360,000 acres in 122 areas throughout the state, which is more than 44% of New Jersey\u2019s state-owned public open space.
