{"id":15593,"date":"2021-05-28T20:33:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-28T20:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/njfw\/?p=15593"},"modified":"2023-04-18T15:52:51","modified_gmt":"2023-04-18T19:52:51","slug":"granite-monuments-added-to-the-barnegat-light-reef-site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deptest.nj.gov\/njfw\/granite-monuments-added-to-the-barnegat-light-reef-site\/","title":{"rendered":"Granite Monuments Added to the Barnegat Light Reef Site"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In May, 2021,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.gov\/dep\/fgw\/marfhome.htm\">Bureau of Marine Fisheries<\/a>&nbsp;staff expanded the State&#8217;s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.gov\/dep\/fgw\/refloc00.htm\">artificial reef network<\/a>&nbsp;with deployments on the Barnegat Light Reef site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the help of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.gov\/dep\/shoreprotection\/aids.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DEP&#8217;s Aids to Navigation Team<\/a>, the Reef Program was able to deploy an estimated 400 gravestones and mixed concrete rubble, weighing approximately 60 tons in total.
