\nApproximately $7,166,000.00 annually<\/p>\n
\nA $3.00 per ton tax on solid waste accepted for disposal or transfer at New Jersey Solid Waste facilities. The REA County Grant receives 30% of the annual balance of the State Recycling Tax Fund.<\/p>\n

\nThe DEP must determine that a county is meeting its solid waste management responsibilities. Dependent on submission and approval of a complete Grant application including a spending plan. Deadlines and conditions apply. See the applicable program Guide for details.<\/p>\n
\nAnnual grants are based on amount of solid waste generated in each county as a percentage of all waste generated in New Jersey.<\/p>\n
\nProgram announcements, application deadlines and program guidelines are sent to the counties annually.<\/p>\n
