\nThese grants provide funding to offset the cost of purchasing and maintaining electric vehicle charging stations. The program is designed to expand New Jersey\u2019s growing network of electric vehicle infrastructure, allowing residents, businesses, and government agencies to purchase and drive electric vehicles. EVs dramatically reduce vehicle emissions and improve air quality for everyone.<\/p>\n

\nFollowing the review of all submitted applications, DEP will notify all applicants via SAGE of their application status.<\/p>\n
\nVarious Funds<\/p>\n
\nN.J.S.A. 13:1B-3; N.J.S.A. 13:1D-9; N.J.S.A. 13:1D-134; and N.J.S.A. 26:2C-9(b)(6)<\/p>\n
\nPrivate residential dwellings other than multi-unit dwellings are not eligible for grants. The program is open to all other applicants: Businesses, governments, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions.<\/p>\n
\nTo be eligible for the Program, an applicant must meet the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n
\nDC Fast Charger applications are accepted during competitive solicitation periods only. The NJDEP reserves the right to limit the amount of reimbursement per applicant based on number and location of charging stations.<\/p>\n
\nProspective applicants must submit an Application via the System for Administering Grants Electronically<\/a> (SAGE). Visit the SAGE Instructions<\/a>\u00a0for detailed instructions on how to submit your application via the SAGE portal.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Eligible Projects:
\nCommunity: Charging stations that are exclusively available to the general public in places where people live and work. Examples include, but are not limited to, charging stations in town centers, commercial areas, retail centers, and multi-unit dwellings.<\/p>\n
\nUpon completion of work in accordance with the eligibility criteria and grant agreement requirements, NJDEP will reimburse each applicant for a percentage of eligible costs up to a maximum of:<\/div>\n
