Children who develop asthma because of air quality caused by a factory that is built in the wrong place, is tragic and it costs us all in the long run. Second, I believe that the council has the best interest of the State as well as the businesses community in the State. The diversity of interests on the council helps to ensure positive outcomes and encourages fair legislative action and regulations. In my opinion, when developers and businesses understand where the environmental community stands, it makes decision making easier not harder. Most businesses want to do the right thing. The Council has produced many reports on a variety of timely air quality issues directly impacting New Jersey citizens. New Jersey has done much to improve air quality in the past several decades.
