If at any time during the file conversion process, you receive a blank box or a “Not Responding” message PLEASE DO NOT EXIT THE INSTALLATION \u2013\u00a0RADIUS IS WORKING AND MAY TAKE SOME TIME TO COMPLETE.<\/u>\u00a0 For very large facilities, it may take up to an hour or more.\u00a0 Forcing the installation to exit while the conversion is in progress will corrupt your existing data, and it will not be recoverable.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>You will see a “finished” message when the file conversion has finished.<\/p>\n

When the RADIUS upgrade has completed, go to the RADIUS Reference Tables page to download and import any updated tables available on the page.\u00a0 (Instructions for doing this are on the Reference Tables page.)\u00a0 You can prepare applications without importing these tables, but if you do not do so, you may have trouble importing documents received from DEP.<\/p>\n

If this is a fresh installation of RADIUS on a computer that has not had any previous version of RADIUS installed:<\/h5>\n
    \n
  1. Download the RADIUS 5.0 installation file.\u00a0 Go to the folder where you downloaded the RADIUS setup program and run it by double clicking on it.<\/li>\n
  2. Follow the instructions provided to you by the installation program.\u00a0 Once completed, you can start using RADIUS.<\/li>\n
  3. Go to the RADIUS Reference Tables page to download and import any updated tables available on the page.\u00a0 (Instructions for doing this are on the Reference Tables page.)\u00a0 You can prepare applications without importing these tables, but if you do not do so, you may have trouble importing documents received from DEP.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If this is an upgrade to a prior version of RADIUS:<\/h5>\n
      \n
    1. DO NOT uninstall\u00a0your previous version of RADIUS. \u00a0Also, please try not to have many other programs running at the same time while upgrading, as this may slow the upgrade.<\/li>\n
    2. If you have any sticky notes attached to your files within RADIUS, you must delete them. \u00a0To do this, open each document individually. \u00a0If there are sticky notes, they will immediately appear on the screen. \u00a0Select \u201cdelete\u201d to remove each one until there are none left. \u00a0Repeat this procedure for all the documents stored in RADIUS.<\/li>\n
    3. Download the RADIUS 5.0 installation file.\u00a0 Go to the folder where you downloaded the RADIUS setup program and run it by double clicking on it.\u00a0\u00a0Make sure that you do not have a previous version of RADIUS open when you run the upgrade.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Upgrading the program with the older version of RADIUS is open will corrupt the program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
