On May 16, 2016,\u00a0New Jersey submitted its “Proposed”<\/strong>\u00a0Revisions to the Enhanced Inspection and Maintenance (I\/M) Program to the USEPA.\u00a0On September 16, 2016, New Jersey submitted its\u00a0\u201cFinal\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Revisions to the Enhanced Inspection and Maintenance (I\/M) Program to the USEPA.<\/p>\n

The purpose of this SIP revision is to discontinue the two-speed idle tests on model year 1981-1995 light duty gasoline vehicles, idle tests on pre-1981 model year light duty gasoline vehicles, idle tests on heavy duty gasoline vehicles, and gas cap leak testing.<\/p>\n
