The State of New Jersey is requesting the USEPA to revise the boundary of the\u00a0New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island Nonattainment Area (Northern New Jersey-New York-Connecticut NAA) for the 2008 75 ppb and 2015 70 ppb\u00a08-hour Ozone NAAQS in accordance with Clean Air Act (CAA) 107(d)(3)(D).\u00a0 New Jersey\u2019s request is for the NAA\u00a0to\u00a0be split into two distinct nonattainment areas, in which the New Jersey\u00a0portion\u00a0of the NAA would encompass one nonattainment area and the remaining counties in New York and Connecticut would encompass the other NAA.
